There is value in every activity at Coleman Country. Campers are having such a good time though, that they don’t even realize how much they are learning and growing at the same time!
Lifelong learnables are at the core of everything we do. In a growth mindset, we believe that most basic abilities can be developed through practice and mastery; brains and talent are just the starting point. This view creates a love of learning and a resilience that is essential for great accomplishment.
Youth development, the essential social skills for growing into successful happy adults, is the lasting legacy of the Coleman Country experience. It is measured by three milestones:
- Being productive (doing important stuff)
- Feeling connected (having friends)
- Learning to navigate (find your own way)
The ultimate cornerstone is, of course, all the fun stuff!
